Questions
What is doxxing?
Doxxing is the act of researching and publicly sharing private or personal information about someone — usually their real name, home address, employer, or family members. It's used to harass, intimidate, or expose people. In the escort industry, it's a genuine risk, particularly from disgruntled clients or people with personal grudges.
How did my info get online?
Data broker sites collect information from public records — the electoral roll, Companies House, Land Registry, previous addresses, and social media profiles. Some of this is automatic; some is from databases you've been listed in over the years. You didn't consent to most of it, but it's legal for them to collect it.
Can you remove it?
From most data broker sites, yes — through formal opt-out requests. Each site has its own process; I know the main ones and handle the submissions. Google can be requested to remove certain personal data under UK GDPR. Electoral roll suppression is available for personal safety reasons. I work through all available removal options.
How long does removal take?
Data broker removals typically take 2–4 weeks. Google GDPR removal requests take 2–6 weeks. Electoral roll suppression (applied via your local council) is processed within a few weeks and lasts indefinitely. I follow up on any sites that haven't responded within the expected timeframe.
What if it keeps coming back?
Data brokers re-scrape information periodically, so opt-outs sometimes need to be renewed. I advise on which sites require annual resubmission and help you set a reminder to check every 6–12 months. For the most sensitive information, I recommend ongoing monitoring as part of a regular privacy review.
