Monitoring

I set up alerts and regularly check search results for your working name so you know what clients see when they look you up — before they decide whether to contact you.

🛡️

Removal & reporting

For content that violates policies — defamation, personal data exposure, non-consensual images — I handle the reporting process and make the strongest possible case for removal.

📈

Suppression

When content can't be removed, I build positive content — your website, directory profiles, social media — that pushes negative results down below where most people look.

Questions

Someone posted bad things about me online — what can I do?

It depends on where and what was posted. Some content can be reported for removal (defamatory posts, content with personal information). Other content can be pushed down the search results by building stronger positive content around your name. I assess each situation individually and give you an honest view of what's achievable.

How long does reputation work take?

Monitoring and reporting bad content can start immediately. Suppression — pushing negative results further down Google — typically takes 4–12 weeks depending on how established the negative content is. Building a positive presence is a longer-term project, but it compounds over time.

Can you remove things from Google?

I can request removal for content that violates Google's policies (personal information, non-consensual images, defamation). Google doesn't always comply, but the process is worth following. For content that can't be removed, I use suppression strategies to push it below where most people look.

What if someone uses my real name?

Content containing your real name linked to your work is a serious privacy issue. There are legal routes (right to erasure under UK GDPR) as well as practical ones (reporting to platforms, requesting Google removal). I help you understand your options and take the right steps.

Do you monitor ongoing?

Yes — I offer ongoing monitoring as part of a retainer, where I set up alerts for your working name and check search results regularly. I notify you if anything new appears and advise on action. This is included in my maintenance retainer or available as a standalone service.
